Easy Travel Data Protection & Privacy Policy

We respect the privacy of our customers; therefore we are committed to the following privacy policy, which is designed to give you peace of mind and confidence.

In order to process your booking and to ensure that your travel arrangements run smoothly and meet your requirements we (and your tour operator) need to use the information you provide (such as name, address, any special needs/dietary requirements etc).

We take full responsibility for ensuring that proper security measures are in place to protect your information. We must pass the information on to the relevant suppliers of your travel arrangements such as airlines, hotels, transport companies etc. The information may also be provided to public authorities such as customs/immigration if required by them, or as required by law.

Additionally, where your holiday is outside the European Economic Area (EEA), controls on data protection in your destination may not be as strong as the legal requirements in this country. We will not, however, pass any information onto any person not responsible for part of your travel arrangements. This applies to any sensitive information that you give to us such as details of any disabilities, or dietary/religious requirements. (If we cannot pass this information to the relevant suppliers, whether in the EEA or not, we cannot provide your booking. In making a booking, you consent to this information being passed on to the relevant persons).

What personal information do we ask for?

Whether you are booking a holiday, or requesting a brochure, we may ask for your name, your postal address, your telephone and fax number and e-mail address. If you are making a booking we may also require a 24 hours contact name and number in the UK for the period you are abroad. This is in case of emergency or for any unforeseen circumstances.

How does Easy Travel use this personal information?

Brochure Requests & E-Newsletter

We may need your name, address so that we can send out your brochure order, and/or advise you of special offers/promotions we think you would be interested in.
Bookings

We need your name so we can confirm these details to the relevant hotels, airlines, resorts etc.

We also need your address so that we can send you your confirmation invoice as well as your travel documents and in case we have to write to you about any part of your booking in advance of your holiday.

We would need your telephone number in the unlikely event that we need to contact you urgently about your booking. In addition, we may require a contact name and number in the UK for the period while you are abroad, in case of an emergency.

We will require details about your travel insurance policy. This is an essential part of the booking as we are required to advise you that you must have comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking. This does not have to be our own travel insurance, but we reserve the right to refuse your booking if you decline to take any travel insurance or if you refuse to advise us of the details of your policy. This is for your own protection and will assist us in helping you in case of an emergency.

We may also use this information to let you know about any special offers/promotions we think would be of interest to you.

We may also use your IP (Internet Protocol) address to diagnose problems with our server and administer the site – monitoring visitor traffic patterns and site usage to help us develop and improve the Easy Travel Group of websites even further.

Information you supply to us will be passed to our suppliers (such as airlines, hotels, and transport companies) and agents only where necessary for the purposes of booking your holiday. This may include the transfer of information outside the EEA (European Economic Area).
